About the Service
This position is responsible for planning and implementing the Yass Maternity Enhancement to establish a Women’s and Family Maternity Care Centre. The position will work in close collaboration with the Yass Valley community and key stakeholders to support and coordinate the refurbishment project as well as recruitment and training of health care professionals to support the new service.

Selection Criteria
- Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of three (3) years full time equivalent post midwifery qualification experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the clinical and social needs of pregnant women and their families with complex care requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational outcomes.
- Well-developed analytical skills to analyse and interpret data, and apply insights practically to contemporary service delivery models, including development and evaluation of models of care.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of principles and processes of project management, change management and awareness of issues that may occur as part of organisational change.
- High level written and verbal communication skills, with ability to write reports and correspondence, as well as the ability to design and conduct professional-level presentations, including for educational purposes.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to forge partnerships at all levels both internal and external to the organisation, manage conflict and negotiate resolutions.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays
