Clinical Coordinator – Urgent Care Centre

Fixed Term, Part-Time (32 hours per fortnight) until January 2026

Location: Yarrawonga, Victoria

Yarrawonga Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Urgent Care Centre.

This part-time, fixed-term opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with emergency/urgent care experience who is ready to step into a leadership role in a supportive and community-focused rural health service.

About The Role

As the Clinical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in our Urgent Care Centre. With approximately 5,000 presentations annually, our Urgent Care Centre serves a diverse patient population and offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

You will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight while working closely with the Acute Nurse Unit Manager, Executive Team, After-Hours Coordinators, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of the Urgent Care CentreMaintain and promote contemporary, patient-focused clinical standardsMonitor patient care delivery, documentation, and safetySupervise and support staff, students, and junior nursesDrive continuous quality improvement and risk managementEnsure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirementsSupport staff development and a culture of professional growth

Essential

What You’ll Bring

Registered Nurse with AHPRA registrationMinimum 3 years’ experience in an Emergency/Urgent Care settingProven leadership and clinical supervision experienceExcellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and work under pressureCommitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care

Desirable

Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care NursingExperience in rural health settingsFinancial or budget management experienceDemonstrated innovation in program and service delivery
