Bundaberg Sugar (BSL) is a grower, miller, refiner, and marketer of sugar and associated products in Australia. The company stands as one of Australia's largest cane growers and operates a sugar mill, Refinery and Packaging Plant in Bundaberg.

About the Role

Bundaberg Sugar Ltd is seeking an experienced machinery operator to join a fast-growing macadamia industry within our Bundaberg orchards.

The successful candidate must possess the skills necessary to carry out tasks relating to macadamia farm operations while having a high level of farm machinery and equipment maintenance skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Activities on a day-to-day basis including weed control, irrigation, spraying and harvesting.

• Machinery maintenance to ensure the orchard is running efficiently.

• Operate machinery, tractors and implements in line with recommended guidelines to ensure that both tractors and implements operate efficiently, cleanly, and safely.

• Apply all chemicals and fertilisers in accordance with legislation and instructions given.

• Ensure machinery is kept in a clean tidy and safe working condition and is presented to the workshop in a condition suitable for servicing as determined by the Maintenance Department.

• Willingness to perform a wide range of duties and ability to work outside ordinary hours when required.

What We Are Looking For:

• Tractor/machine operating experience
• Current Manual Australian Drivers Licence is required.
• Ag Chemical Licence is not essential but would be beneficial.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments
