We're looking for a highly professional, motivated, and enthusiastic Full-time Thai Cook to join our dedicated kitchen team. This is a hands-on role where your passion for quality and presentation will ensure every dish meets our exceptional standards.
Role: Thai Cook ($69,000 – $75,000 per year)
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook dishes according to our established restaurant menu and recipes.

Season and prepare food with a variety of herbs, spices, and ingredients.

Monitor and regulate kitchen equipment to ensure food is cooked and stored at the perfect temperature.

Plate and portion food meticulously, adding sauces and garnishes for an appealing presentation.

Follow strict safety and hygiene regulations for all food handling and storage.

Maintain the cleanliness of your workstation and kitchen areas.

Assist in planning, estimating, and collecting food and commodities.

Collaborate with other kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Proven experience in a hands-on, team-focused kitchen environment.

Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and Food Handling procedures.

Qualifications:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a higher relevant qualification.

A minimum of 3 years of previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Thai cuisine.

Collaborate with management and ownership to develop and create innovative, seasonal menus.

Utilize your advanced knowledge of Thai cuisine to maintain and elevate our authentic dishes.

Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes to meet the restaurant’s high-quality standards.

Kitchen Management:

Manage all kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and food ordering.

Plan and budget for inventory and stock to minimize waste and ensure ingredient freshness.

Enforce strict food safety and hygiene protocols, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Team Leadership & Training:

Train, guide, and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper food preparation, handling, and safety procedures.
