About the role
The Team Leader Project Team is responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring that objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will manage a high-performing team of project managers and support staff, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
You’ll lead day-to-day operations, coordinate service delivery, and collaborate across teams to achieve strategic outcomes. Your ability to manage priorities, provide clear direction, and inspire performance will be key to success.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related field OR equivalent qualifications with demonstrated solid contemporary experience, combined with ongoing professional development
- Current Class C Drivers Licence and SafeWork NSW General Induction for Construction Work (White Card) or willingness to obtain
- Extensive project management experience
- Successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership across multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge of Local Government operations and legislation and skilled in navigating political environments
- Expertise in performance improvement and consultation with proven leadership in communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to influence outcomes and build credible relationships
- Strong analytical and advisory skills

Other important information
- The commencing salary for this position is up to $110.9K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $128.5K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation and 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance. This role offers market loading for the right candidate
- Private Use Leaseback - Passenger Car Medium or Quarterly Vehicle Allowance
- We have a permanent full-time role available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
