This is a 12 month fixed term full time (1.0 FTE) position with possible extension and/or permanency commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

The successful applicants will ideally be passionate, motivated and skilled educators who are committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies.

It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. Applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.

We are seeking applicants who are innovative and possess high-quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school processes, and be collegial, effective collaborators. We are looking for educators who are willing to go beyond the classroom—contributing to the wider life of the school and giving back to the community. Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration . be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website . apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

Scenario 1

Strong relationships are at the heart of effective teaching and learning in the early years. Can you describe how you build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues? Share an example of a time when your ability to connect with others contributed to a successful outcome for students. What strategies did you use to foster trust, collaboration, and a sense of belonging within your learning community?

Scenario 2

High-quality teaching is grounded in evidence-based practices and the effective use of data to improve student outcomes. Describe how you have implemented evidence-based programs or strategies in your classroom. How did you use student data to inform your planning, teaching, and assessment? Share an example of how these approaches led to measurable improvements in student learning.

Scenario 3

Working collaboratively and engaging in ongoing professional learning are essential for continuous improvement. Describe a time when you worked as part of a team to implement a new initiative or improve practice. How did you contribute to the team’s success, and what did you learn from the experience?
