About the role

Responsibilities

This position is a permanent part-time role in Sustainability and Natural Resource Management part of the Strategic Planning team, based from Moruya. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability education programs for schools, business and the general community which link to the actions and targets in the Eurobodalla Climate Action Plan 2022-2032 (CAP). Through sustainability education Council aims to:

Raise awareness and engage stakeholders in promoting sustainable activities; Reduce energy, waste and water usage that contributes to reduced emissions; and Increase the understanding of ecosystems and biodiversity.

The starting salary for this position is $38.86 per hour plus 12% superannuation.

About You

We are looking for someone with tertiary qualifications or experience in education; sustainability; climate change; environment or energy management, as well as experience designing, developing and delivering stakeholder education programs. The ideal candidate will possess:

experience with design and development of promotional materials such as: media releases; displays; website content; surveys; brochures etc.demonstrated verbal and written communication skills: facilitation; interpersonal; and public presentation skills. an ability to work both independently and effectively within a team, and with a wide variety of different parts of the community.computer literacy with specific expertise in MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).knowledge and experience of community engagement and public participation planning and evaluation is an advantage.
