The CareSide is experiencing exciting growth and is currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker/Carer for our operations in Coowonga QLD. As a national leader in Home Care Packages, The CareSide operates from our head office in Perth, Western Australia, with remote offices across Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland.

The Candidate:

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about enhancing the lives of others, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, punctual, friendly, and genuinely caring towards clients.

The Role:

As a Support Worker/Carer in Coowonga QLD, you will be responsible for assisting clients with various daily activities. This role requires approximately 12 hours of work per week. The schedule includes:

  • Personal care: 3 times a week for 2 hours from 12.00pm to 2.00pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
  • Companion care: weekly on a Thursday afternoon for 2 hours.

It involves working with four different clients located in the Coowonga QLD, each with a different schedule. You have the flexibility to choose to work only some hours with specific clients if you're unable to commit to all.

Type of care to be provided: Personal care, Companion care, Domestic assistance.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or 1 year experience in personal care
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • National Police Clearance Certificate
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Smartphone
  • Availability for overnight shifts during the week and weekends
  • Experienced in disability support
  • Manual handling
