Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River.

D4C is seeking an Civil/Mechanical to join our dynamic, diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth.  We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources.

Primary Purpose 

The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate on-site direct wages employees, plant resources and subcontractors to deliver relevant scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications to achieve effective performance in accordance with detailed short-term programs and schedules within the designated time and budget. Implement site safety, quality and environment control and identify and assess potential risks.

Key Accountabilities

Coordinate the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve outcomes.Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management.Contribute to development of work methods and rolling short term construction programs and plan daily/weekly production work.Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed.Complete progress reporting, and activities, reports for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Construction Lead.Ensure compliance of commercial and financial costs including budgets and the implications of directions within your authority limitsRead and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings, and provide constructive review and implementing of final designsIdentify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to build a risk management culture.Select, train and develop leading hands and ensure the observance of safety, other work standards and fair and reasonable application of industrial agreements.Planning and procurement of appropriate resources to fulfil project requirements.Manages access and the movement of materials, plant and equipment to and within the site and work area in a safe and cost-efficient manner.Understands the specifications and drawings relating to their works.Provides positive leadership to ensure the quality and standard of workmanship performed is in accordance with the specifications and drawings.Ensures that relevant Hold and Witness Points are complied withMaintains diary records of actual progress including issues and usage.

Essential

Australian Trade Qualification5+ years previous construction experience in a similar role.Substantial Industry experience in Trade and ConstructionNSW Drivers LicenceWhite CardDesirable: Waste Water industry experience,Skill in review of design documents, provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
