Jefferson Middle College is seeking a casual, part-time staff member to support both new and returning Middle College students.

The ideal candidate has training in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); a strong interest in supporting students who have been historically marginalized; and a deep understanding of the needs of first-generation college students.

What You'll Do And Who We Are Looking For

Primary Duties

Work effectively with all Middle College students, including those from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds and identitiesServe as a primary point of contact for students attending the centerSupport students in-person, by phone, and via emailRefer students to appropriate academic and non-academic resources, including the Accessible Education Office, Financial Aid, Student Learning Centers, Basic Needs Hub, and Identity CentersPresent program information to small and large groups of studentsAssist students with class registrationAssist with planning, organizing, and executing department events, presentations, and meetings.Utilize a variety of technologies, including:Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)Zoom and Google MeetBanner systems
