The Rapid Access Medical Service (RAMS) provides assessment and treatment to patients requiring escalation of care, bypassing the need to attend the Emergency Department and to prevent further clinical progression in their conditions.

Purpose of the role

As a Senior Clinician you will be a valued and passionate team member.  You will join a specialist team to enhance care coordination, improve patient outcomes, reduce emergency department pressure, facilitate hospital admission avoidance and support staff and resource allocation.  

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer to facilitate the delivery of high-quality care to patients of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and Directives.
