About The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spiritual & Pastoral Care Coordinator to join our team at St Catherine’s Aged care, a 130-bed residential aged care home in Bathurst. This role is pivotal in supporting the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of our residents, their families, and our employees. This role will also be covering planned leave at Macquarie Care Centre in Bathurst and St Francis in Orange.

Working closely with the Residential Manager and care team, you will:

Provide pastoral and spiritual care aligned with Catholic values and inclusive of all faiths and beliefs.Coordinate and lead religious services, rituals, and reflective practices.Offer emotional and spiritual support during times of grief, transition, or crisis.Build strong relationships with local faith communities and volunteers.Support staff wellbeing through reflective practice and pastoral presence.

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need

A kind heart and genuine passion for supporting the spiritual needs of older people.Qualifications in theology, pastoral care, or a related field (or working towards).Experience in pastoral or spiritual care, preferably in aged care or health settings.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Understanding of and commitment to Catholic values and mission.Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
