The Role

As an experienced Shotfirer you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our blasting operations by ensuring our blasts are fired safely on schedule and without issue. You’ll report to the Shift Supervisor / Site Manager and provide support to the wider crew.

What You’ll Do

Manage the loading, tying and firing of blasts by following blast patternsHandle explosives and prepare for blasts, ensuring all safety and legislative requirements are upheldPre and post inspection of blasts and maintenance of recordsWorking collaboratively with the crew to achieve daily targets

Good To Have

Experience in quarrying or hard rock shotfiring in an open cut mining environment.TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentRelevant RII’s for Shotfiring e.g. RIIBLA301E - Conduct Surface Shotfiring OperationsHeavy Rigid (or greater) drivers’ licence
