Our client in Townsville is seeking skilled and motivated Machinists to join their manufacturing team, specialising in the production of high-quality tool bags and related products.

About Us

This hands-on role involves the fabrication of tool bags and similar items through marking, cutting, welding, sewing, assembling, and quality checking. You’ll receive full training and work with a variety of machines and tools to ensure products are made to specification in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.

Pay Rate: $40 per hour

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture products using drawings, templates, and job cards.
• Operate sewing machines and other equipment including tackers, binders, cutters, welders, hot knives, and eyelet machines.
• Assist with the automatic plotter cutter machine when required.
• Support packaging, sorting, bundling, and storing of components and finished goods.
• Maintain and report on machine condition and stock levels.
• Receive and process subcontractor-completed tool bags, including cleaning, labeling, and packaging.
• Assist with stocktaking, order dispatch, and workshop housekeeping.
• Contribute to workshop opening and closing routines.
