- HEWL7: $97,205 - $107,490 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions
- A 2.75% pay rise effective from 31 December 2025
WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, this role provides high-level technical expertise to resolve complex network challenges and optimise performance across the University. You'll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and guiding them through the resolution of advanced customer enquiries to ensure timely, effective outcomes.
In addition to leading network projects in alignment with JCU’s project management framework, the role is responsible for maintaining a secure, reliable, and high-performing network environment across all campuses. You’ll actively contribute to continuous service improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and technology strategies, and escalating recommendations where appropriate.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
•Demonstrated experience in the operational management, implementation and servicing of some or all of the following technologies: switching, routing, firewalls, Wide Area Networking, data centre networking and wireless technology.
•Demonstrated experience in the operational management, implementation and servicing of some or all backend network servers, storage and operating systems in large complex enterprise environments.
•Significant analytical and problem-solving skills with an established record of exercising judgement and initiative.
•High-level communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to prepare high quality technical documentation including reports.
