How You’ll Shine

As a Resort Maintenance & Grounds Officer, you’ll help keep our resort operating at its best — from the guest rooms to the gardens. Your work will ensure that everything looks great, works well, and makes our guests feel welcome and safe.

You Will

Carry out routine repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and facilitiesAssist with planned preventative maintenance programs to keep the property in top shapeLook after the resort’s beautiful gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces so they stay healthy and inviting year-roundSupport seasonal landscaping and care for trees, shrubs, and garden bedsRespond to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly and professionallyMonitor and report on equipment, supplies, and potential hazardsWork collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and other departments to keep everything running smoothly

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, landscaping, or grounds keeping (resort or hotel experience a bonus)Basic knowledge of trades such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment careA proactive attitude and problem-solving skills — you enjoy finding solutions and keeping things in good orderAwareness of workplace health & safety requirements, and willingness to follow safe work practicesGood communication skills and a helpful, team-oriented approachPhysical fitness and comfort working both indoors and outdoors in all seasonsFlexibility to work a roster that may include weekends and public holidays
