Who are we?

The Greenmountain Group of businesses is Australia's largest family-owned and operated vertically integrated beef and veal production and processing operation. Greenmountain specialises in growing and sourcing naturally bred, naturally fed beef and veal to be processed at our modern export food processing establishment at Coominya in the Lockyer Valley of south-east Queensland.

We are currently looking to recruit a Rendering Operator to work on our day shift within our by-products plant. 

Our Rendering Operators are responsible for operational control of product rendering and laboring functions, including control of Tallow Quality and meat meal. You will also be required to comply with and contribute to out highly developed WHS, Quality Assurance and training programs.

In this role, the right candidate will gain the following qualifications:

  • Australian Renderers Association certified operations

  • Boiler operator ticket

  • Forklift license

Role responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and operation of machinery

  • Forklift operations (For licensed operators only)

  • Sampling and reporting of product performance

  • Hot hosing of production areas to ensure quality assurance requirements are being met

  • General housekeeping

  • Reporting of lost or damaged product

  • Adhering to workplace health and safety requirements at all times

  • Adhering to food safety requirements at all times

  • Reporting to department supervisor

Required attributes/skills/qualifications:

  • Current High risk work license with LF qualification. (Forklift) - Beneficial, but not essential

  • Flexible and able to work overtime as required

  • Willing to be vaccinated against Q-Fever

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills

  • Physically able to handle lifting objects, climbing ladders, and other manual labor tasks
