St.Giles Allied Health is excited to announce the upcoming expansion of our Psychology services. To support this, we are looking for suitably qualified provisional psychologists to join our statewide, multidisciplinary team, as we offer Whole of Life solutions to Tasmanians living with a disability. This position involves providing a range of therapeutic interventions to our participants and their families to achieve quality health and social outcomes.

What working with St.Giles involves:

  • Facilitate a range of individual and group evidence-based cognitive behavioural interventions within scope of practice.

  • Administer a range of psychological assessments within scope of practice, including design, evaluate and assist in the implementation of evidence-based interventions.

  • Implement and review individual plans for clients, including regularly/proactively consult with families/advocates and Allied Health team members.

  • Engage appropriately in supervision and other training/development opportunities both individually and in collaboration with our team, to help promote the outcomes for our families.

What we need to be able to get you on board:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a provisional psychologist.

  • A genuine passion for wanting to help Tasmanian’s living with a disability and their families.

  • Experience working with vulnerable cohorts in a general capacity within the health, employment, education or disability sector.

  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice standards for a range of presenting issues.

  • Proven capacity and ability to work with professional integrity and support vulnerable people.

  • An understanding of policies, procedures and regulations including mandatory reporting obligations.

  • Current driver’s licence.

  • National Police Check (no older than 3 months).

  • Current or ability to apply for Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check.
