Provide clinical mental health services in the areas of assessment, treatment and care planning, intervention and evaluation to consumers and their families who present to Gold Coast and Hospital Health Service with complex emotional and behavioural mental health needs.

Please note that this role may be filled by a Clinical Nurse as per the attached Role Description.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a/several Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker Mental Health - Acute Care Team Community) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide the delivery of care in a variety of hospital and community settings
• Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the practice supervision
• Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with the support of senior clinical staff
• Provide comprehensive care to consumers with an acute mental health issue

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A tertiary degree in, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
• AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapy, Psychologist only)
• Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
• Driver Licence
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time and temporary part time (one Permanent full time position and one temporary part time position, 76 hrs p.f.) 
• Base salary ranging from $ $107 960 - $115 604 per annum, $54.44 – 58.30 per hour
