About This Role
As the Mine Planning Superintendent, you’ll lead the planning function across both Vickery and Tarrawonga mines. This site-based role is pivotal in shaping the direction and operational strategies for both mines, driving continuous improvement, and mentoring a high-performing technical team. Enjoy a 9-day fortnight and the opportunity to live and work in the Gunnedah region.
What You’ll Do
Deliver cost-effective mine designs, schedules, and plans with both tactical and strategic focusLead the development of fortnightly mine plans, 12-month rolling STPs, 5-year budget forecasts, Life of Mine Planning and compliance reconciliationsOversee and improve planning processes and documentation, including procedures and risk assessmentsProvide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the Mine Planning teamSupport recruitment and development of technical talent
What You’ll Bring
5+ years’ experience in open cut mining operationsProficiency in SPRY and Vulcan (or similar mine planning software) and strong data analysis skillsTertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related fieldStatutory qualifications (desirable)Proven ability to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary technical team
