MRFEC is a not-for-profit Neighbourhood House and Adult Community Education provider based in Gisborne, Victoria. We deliver inclusive, affordable programs that empower individuals, build community connections, and promote health, wellbeing, and lifelong learning.
About the Role
As Manager, you’ll report to the Committee of Management and lead a small team of staff and volunteers. You’ll oversee strategic planning, program development, financial management, and community engagement all while ensuring our centre remains a vibrant, welcoming hub for all.
Key Responsibilities

Drive strategic direction and operational excellence

Lead and support staff, volunteers, and community partnerships

Manage budgets, funding submissions, and compliance

Oversee inclusive educational and wellbeing programs

Represent MRFEC in the community and advocate for its mission
About You
-
Proven leadership in community development or Neighbourhood Houses
-
Strong understanding of ACFE and adult education
-
Skilled in financial and operational management
-
Excellent communicator and relationship builder
-
Committed to social justice, inclusion, and lifelong learning
Position Details

Permanent part-time (25 hrs/week, Mon–Fri) Hybrid - by negotiation.

SCHCADS Award Level 7 (pay point based on experience)

6-month probationary period

Child safe organisation — relevant checks required
