Temporary position for an immediate start based on the Northern End of the Gold Coast for a retail company

Your new role

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for accounting and reporting processes which support business growth.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:

• Drive the budget and forecasting process,
• Preparation of accurate management reports in a timely manner,
• Budget variance analysis, with commentary,
• Analyse and understand both the financial and operational drivers of results (CVP Analysis and recommendations),
• Managing Daily Cashflow, including reporting and insights,
• Ownership of P2P (Procure to pay), control of purchase orders for fortnightly payment runs
• Management of Procurement express - budgets and contracts,
• Support the accounting team during BAS and other statutory submissions,
• Provide support to business accountant and accounts teams during audits.
• Undertaking all other tasks required to ensure the successful performance of the role.

What you'll need to succeed

This is a key role within the business and requires an individual with willingness and dedication to the accounting function of preparing regular financial statements and management reporting. Our client requires an individual who has excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven experience in a similar role. To be successful, you will be bachelor's degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline, have experience in gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders, and possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
