Our client based in TAMWORTH NSW is currently looking for a Qualified Maintenance employee on their Maintenance team within their production factory in Tamworth.

To be considered for this role you must be trade qualified as either an Electrician, Fitter/ Tuner, Boilermaker etc. and familiar with some of the below tasks:

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining and repairing all equipment and facilities at the factory.
  • Perform daily checks and inspections of equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues with equipment, and recommend solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate with contractors and maintenance staff to schedule repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs and replacement parts on computerised programs.
  • Experience in maintenance, preferably in a meat production & manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, and diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with other team members.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be available for on-call duties.

You will be responsible for:

Reports to the Maintenance Manager and direct working relationships with the Plant Manager, other Supervisors and Leading Hands. The position is primarily responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance to the plant machinery and ensuring that all work they perform is carried out in a safe manner following to Food Safety / Meat Production standards and systems.
