Based at Safety Bay Library, you will assist with the delivery
of a vibrant and innovative library and information service to the
Rockingham community.  This may include working at our other
libraries from time to time.

This role involves a variety of duties with a strong focus on
providing exceptional customer service and an opportunity to
develop new skills. This position also supports specialist library
staff with promotions, displays and library events and activities,
along with general administrative assistance.

You will have previous experience in a busy customer service
environment and good computer literacy skills, with a passion for
learning new programs. You are able to cope under pressure and
prioritise tasks efficiently. You communicate effectively with a
diverse range of people of all ages and backgrounds.

To be considered for this role, you must address the
following selection criteria as part of your
application:

  1. Effective customer service skills and demonstrated
    experience in a busy customer service environment
  2. A keen interest in technology including web searching,
    general troubleshooting and social media tools
  3. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
    effectively with people of all ages
  4. Ability to work in a team environment
  5. Ability to organise own time and work in a changing
    environment

We are offering a gross salary of $66,426
per annum (pro-rata) and:

  • 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a
    further 5%
