The position:

We are seeking passionate and skilled Instrumental Lower and Upper Strings Tutors to join our vibrant Music Department, who specialise in Lower Strings (Cello and Double Bass) and Upper Strings, with a strong emphasis on Viola are highly regarded. These are part-time positions with an expected timetable of two days per week, offering the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the musical and personal development of students across our Junior, Middle, and Senior Communities.

 At Hillcrest, music is a vital part of our holistic educational approach. The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing students’ artistic talents through individual and small group lessons, ensemble rehearsals, and co-curricular activities. Tutors are expected to maximise learning in every session, maintain good order and discipline, and foster a loving, caring environment.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, there is potential for a suitably qualified candidate to take on the Strings Coordinator role, providing leadership and vision for the Strings program and working collaboratively with other staff to enhance the College’s music offerings.
