Role Overview

As a Senior Hydraulic Fitter, you will be at the heart of our operations and will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining hydraulic systems and components. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure systems function efficiently and safely. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to our clients, ensuring their machinery and equipment is running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic components and systems including pumps, valves, motors, cylinders, and hoses according to technical specifications
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system issues and carry out necessary repairs or modifications
• Perform safety inspections and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems and equipment
• Fitment, programming and servicing of truck mounted cranes
• Some fitting/machining as required for repairs or component manufacture
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve system designs and performance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Manage your labour productivity to achieve agreed targets

 Experience & Qualifications:

• Highly skilled & proven experience as a Senior Hydraulic Fitter in an industrial or mechanical engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Cert IV in Engineering Mechanical with certifications/qualifications in Fluid Power
• Leadership/supervisory experience within a hands-on role highly regarded
• Drivers licence required
