Nathan River Resources is on the hunt for a talented professional to join our growing team at the Roper Bar Iron Ore Mine, located 50km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria and approximately 760km from Darwin.

We are proud owner-operators with our very own mine, marine, and trans-shipment division – managing a fleet of mine and marine assets that keep our operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Track ore from pit – to – port

• Drive projects to improve resource understanding, reduce dilution, and maximise recovery

• Deliver critical geological, geotechnical, and grade data to support mine planning and production goals

• Produce dig plans, supervise mining activities and manage the production database

• Lead and support pit technicians and samplers

• Work closely with mine planning, mining, crushing, and haulage teams to keep everything moving

• Take on additional responsibilities that expand your skills and capability

What We’re Looking For

Degree in Geology (or equivalent)
2+ years’ open pit mining experience (iron ore essential)
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Proficiency in Surpac software
Proven ability to manage projects, schedules, and reporting in a fast-paced environment
