A Cold Store Operator (Warehouse Operator/Forklift Driver) in a meatworks facility is responsible for managing the incoming and outgoing goods within the warehouse. Their duties include:

  • Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of supplies, equipment, and products.
  • Stacking boxes (15-27Kilos) in cold warehouse (-15 degrees) with appropriate pallet spacing and labelling
  • Recording and maintaining accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
  • Organizing and storing products in designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to company standards.
  • Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts or other equipment.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Performing regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies or shortages.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations and ensuring warehouse safety standards are met.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 1 Year previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is typically required, along with knowledge of warehouse operations and safety protocols.


Compensation:

  • Hourly rate: $28.75-$35.40

To be successful, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Australian Citizen/Permanent Residency/Full Working Rights in Australia are essential
  • Minimum 1 Year forklift driving experience
  • Complete a pre-employment medical check, including a drug and alcohol test
  • Q-Fever vaccinated (or willing to get)
  • Be able to provide two professional references.
  • Be able to work in the cold environment
