We’re looking for a dedicated Food Service Assistant to work across our Ballan and Ballarat locations. In this role, you’ll help prepare and serve meals to residents at mecwacare Wahroonga and Ballan aged care home. Your teamwork, efficiency, and ability to prioritise in a busy kitchen environment will set you up for success.

What you bring:

  • Certificate in Food Handling: HLTFS207C.
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Age Care experience an advantage.
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups.
  • Ability to provide a high standard of customer service.
  • Understanding of and commitment to safe work and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand and complete documentation in accordance with Food Safety Plan requirements.
  • Ability to identify problems and a clear understanding of when to alert immediate supervisors.
  • Pro-active and dedicated approach to position.
