Located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges and operating on the original mountain track from Belgrave to Gembrook, this century-old train offers a range of fun-filled experiences for all visitors. 

An iconic tourist attraction, Puffing Billy Railway attracts large numbers of tourists each year, thanks to the tireless efforts of more than 300 volunteers and a team of dedicated staff. 

About the Opportunities

We have multiple opportunities for enthusiastic, friendly people to join the Commercial team at Puffing Billy Railway.  These casual positions are primarily located at the Lakeside Visitors Centre, Emerald along with shifts at Belgrave, Menzies Creek and Gembrook – stations along the Puffing Billy Railway train line!  

Key responsibilities for these roles are (but not limited to):

• Provide exceptional customer service to our visitors visiting our food and beverage and retail outlets
• Interact, communicate and provide attentive service to our visitors
• Work as part of a team

Availability to work primarily day shifts (10.00am to 5.00pm) is required.  Shifts are available 7 days a week with a focus on Friday, Saturday and Sundays on a rostered basis.  School holiday availability also required. 

Whether you are skilled in hospitality work or new to the sector we are interested to hear from you.  Training and support will be offered within our friendly Puffing Billy Railway team!

About You

• Willing to learn new skills – training provided
• Good availability
• Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and/or a current Food Handlers Certificate looked upon favorably
• Must have current Australian Working Rights
