Support the Planning Services team at Singleton Council by assisting in development application assessments and planning advice.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Development Planners, Senior Development Planners, and the Coordinator Planning and Development in assessing development applications and providing timely, accurate planning advice.
- Preparing professional reports and correspondence.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
- Attending and taking minutes at Pre-Development Application Meetings as required.
- Participating in Duty Planner services under supervision.
- Performing administrative tasks related to development assessment processes.
- Undertaking supervised site inspections.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Current enrolment in a Degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification, in the second last or final year.
- Ability to continue studying while learning on-the-job with flexible work arrangements.
- Right to Work in Australia.
Compensation & Benefits
- Term contract up to 35 hours per week, dependent on study load.
- Remuneration in accordance with the Local Government (state) Award, $2353 - $2460 per fortnight plus superannuation (based on 35 hours/week).
