Support the Planning Services team at Singleton Council by assisting in development application assessments and planning advice.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Development Planners, Senior Development Planners, and the Coordinator Planning and Development in assessing development applications and providing timely, accurate planning advice.
• Preparing professional reports and correspondence.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
• Attending and taking minutes at Pre-Development Application Meetings as required.
• Participating in Duty Planner services under supervision.
• Performing administrative tasks related to development assessment processes.
• Undertaking supervised site inspections.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Current enrolment in a Degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification, in the second last or final year.
• Ability to continue studying while learning on-the-job with flexible work arrangements.
• Right to Work in Australia.

Compensation & Benefits

• Term contract up to 35 hours per week, dependent on study load.
• Remuneration in accordance with the Local Government (state) Award, $2353 - $2460 per fortnight plus superannuation (based on 35 hours/week).
