    Role details The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Plumbing Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity The primary focus will be to lead, direct and be accountable for the day to day operations of plumbing and drainage trade staff and the plumbing workshop and provide expert advice on plumbing and drainage matters, to the Mackay Trades Coordinator. To liaise with and supervise all plumbing and drainage contractors for the MHHS. Coordinate and supervise plumbing and drainage staff under the direction of Mackay Trade Coordinator. About the Team The Building Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) provides integral maintenance and engineering support for multiple facilities, across the Mackay Hospital & Health Service, to ensure relevant compliance to OH&S and all relevant AS/NZ standards. We provide a one point contact for all building and facility related information. The BEMS team comprises various qualifications, skills and occupations including professional, administrative, operational and trades staff. The trades provided by in-house staff include electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical. Contractors are used to complement in-house trades staff to provide an efficient and effective service. About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
