Responsibilities

• Operate a range of plant machine, Loader, Excavator, Grader, Profiler and/ or Stabiliser

• Prepare and correctly position mobile plant to undertake a variety of tasks

• Undertake labouring and other related tasks when required

• Select, fit and remove relevant attachments such as buckets and breaking hammers.

• Undertake excavation, breaking drilling, leveling, compacting and loading materials with precision

• Take verbal instruction from supervisors.

• Set out and utilise Topcon GPS equipment to obtain levels and ensure accuracy of the task.

• Undertaking general maintenance on mobile plant including, lubricating, cleaning, refueling and other minor adjustments/repairs

About the successful candidate

• 3 years minimum previous experience operating a variety of mobile plant on civil construction projects, especially Excavator

• Understanding and competently operate Topcon GPS or other relevant software

• General knowledge of mobile plant including maintenance requirements and how to conduct a pre-start.

• Understanding of WHS requirements and ability to interpret and follow Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)

• Work within a team and communicate with others effectively.

• Hold machinery tickets to demonstrate competency  

• White Card/Blue Card

• Current drivers licence and own transport
