Hours: Approx. 25–35 hours per week (includes weekends)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and (experienced desired) Seafood Shop Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our seafood shop.

This is a hands-on role where you will be the main person in the shop during rostered hours, overseeing customer service, stock, food safety. You’ll be trusted to run the shop to a high standard, while business owners retain responsibility for strategic ordering and employment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the shop as rostered
• Manage day-to-day shop operations
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Maintain high display, cleanliness, and presentation standards
• Receive and check deliveries for quality and accuracy
• Ensure correct food handling, hygiene, and FIFO procedures
• Complete daily cleaning tasks
• Communicate stock levels, issues, and feedback to owners

What This Role Does Not Include

• Hiring or terminating staff
• Setting wages or pay rates
• Supplier negotiations or pricing decisions
• Marketing or promotional planning

These responsibilities remain with the business owners.

Skills & Experience

• Strong food safety and hygiene awareness
• Confident customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and lead by example
• Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure

Seafood handling experience is highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided.
