Support Worker – Disability Services
ABLE-i is seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker.
This role involves supporting clients with daily living tasks, engaging in physical activities, and facilitating community participation. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
About You:
- You have experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, or you're currently studying in the disability, allied health, or education sectors.
- You have a strong understanding of Autism, developmental delay, and the unique support needs of each individual.
- You enjoy planning and delivering engaging physical activities and exercise-based supports tailored to clients’ abilities.
- You ideally hold qualifications or experience in education support, teacher aide work, or similar fields.
Requirements:
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Check
- Valid driver’s licence and vehicle with insurance
- Availability for weekdays and some weekends
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.56 – $36.23 per hour
Experience:
- working with children or studying in the field: 1 year (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Working with Children Check (Required)
- National Police Certificate (Required)
- Driver Licence (Required)
