With a workforce of more than 3,000 as well as volunteers, Centacare responds to local needs from over 200 service sites, touching the lives of more than 100,000 people each year across Disability & Mental Health, Aged & home Care and Specialist Family Support Services.

The Role

The Reception & Administration Officer is responsible for front-of-house reception duties and a broad range of administrative support functions. You will be the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring services are delivered professionally, confidentially and in line with Centacare policies and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Open and close the premises securely, receive and direct clients and visitors, monitor site access, and maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients, including children and young peopleProvide service information, schedule client appointments using electronic systems, and manage room bookings and allocationsComplete general administrative duties including data entry, document preparation, filing, mail distribution, and maintaining accurate client records in line with privacy requirementsMonitor and maintain office equipment, stationery and phone systems, and promptly report maintenance and WHS issuesSet up and pack down meetings, including catering and technical support, and assist with the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes when requiredSupport the development, review and continuous improvement of policies, procedures and service practicesParticipate in team meetings, supervision, training and service planning activitiesRepresent Centacare programs positively and professionally in all interactionsProvide required administrative and financial information in a timely manner and submit leave requests in accordance with proceduresComply with WHS, privacy, child protection and all relevant legislative and organisational requirements

You Will Bring

Well-developed administration skills, including accurate data entry, document production and strong computer literacy.Experience providing reception support in a human services or similar environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism.Strong judgment, discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential information.The ability to work collaboratively within a team and flexibly across services.
