TasNetworks is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join the team. In this role you will be delivering tangible and valuable business outcomes, playing a pivotal role in providing specialised financial, commercial, analytical, and strategic support to the business.
Your insightful analysis and data-driven recommendations will be vital in elevating our subsidiary businesses performance and profitability, and your expertise will be instrumental in enabling informed decision making that drives the achievement of our business objectives. In other words, you can really make a mark here!
In addition to the commercial advisory responsibilities, you will be responsible for overseeing various financial management accounting activities, including budget planning, forecasting, end-of-month reporting, and conducting ad hoc reporting and analysis. Your keen attention to detail and strategic acumen will ensure the accuracy and relevance of financial information presented to key stakeholders.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should have a significant experience in a management accounting or commercial analyst position, allowing you to bring a wealth of relevant expertise to the table. Ideally, you are already a CA or CPA qualified professional or very close to obtaining this qualification, showcasing your commitment to excellence in financial practices.
Your combination of strong communication skills, advanced Excel and financial modelling skills and ability to accurately interpret and analyse financial data, will ensure your success in this business critical position.
Strong commercial acumen is an absolute must, and a solid understanding of the key drivers of a commercial business will ensure you can contribute valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Experience in preparing rolling financial forecasts will be an added advantage, demonstrating your ability to navigate and adapt to dynamic business environments.
Given the collaborative nature of this role, exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment will allow you to handle challenges with resilience and adaptability, ensuring you are a valuable asset to our team.
