We have a  wonderful opportunity available for a Medical Receptionist, with at least 1 year medical reception experience preferred but not essential.  Traineeship available for the right person (Please specify if you are applying for traineeship)

Work hours are regular and there is opportunity to increase hours.

Who are we?
We are an established Specialist Medical practice within Geelong and we pride ourselves on our friendly, cheerful atmosphere and patient centred care. We are located at the hub of Geelong, close to all the Hospitals and cafes. We offer our patients a wide range of Medical Specialities, including Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Cardiology, Infectious Disease Management, Geriatrics and Neurology.

Responsibilities for Applicants Include:

  • Meet, greet and triage patients, face to face and via phone

  • Scheduling consultations for patients.

  • Patient Billings and processing claims to Medicare , DVA and Private

  • Process cash or EFTPOS payments and Medicare rebates via Tyro EFTPOS terminal

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality while managing patient records

  • Managing and maintaining patient records.

  • General Administrative duties including, recalls, online claiming etc.

  • Maintenance and up-keeping of the practice.

What are we looking for?

  • Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist is preferable.

  • Be friendly, a peoples person and enthusiastic with exceptional communication skills and be able to build rapport with patients in a friendly and warm manner, in person or on the phone.

  • We require a motivated individual to join our team. 

  • Someone who displays a professional and welcoming manner who is capable of working in a fast paced and  busy boutique practice.

  • Highly Organised and able to multitask and work under pressure.

  • Must have computer skills and internet skills.

  • A professional, caring and friendly demeanour.

  • Ability to work as a team member within a friendly close knit and supportive team, and show initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner.

  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to work independently.

  • Fluent in English with a professional phone manner.

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency.
