About the Role
As an AIN / Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to clients in their homes and community settings. You will play a key role in maintaining their independence, safety, wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Support clients to achieve maximum independence in everyday activities
- Administer medications accurately and in line with care plans (where applicable)
- Build and maintain trusting, respectful relationships with clients and their families
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and social connection
- Observe, document and report changes in health or wellbeing
- Assist with mobility aids, exercises and physical support
- Collaborate with Community RNs and allied health professionals
- Support household tasks including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Assist with shopping, errands and community access
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Report concerns, incidents or risks promptly
- Follow individualised care plans and organisational policies
- Participate in mandatory training and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Certificate IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid Certificate (current)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
- Medication Assistance Competency (where applicable)
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Infection Prevention and Control Training
- Hand Hygiene Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police Check (issued within the last 3 months)
- Working With Children Check (where applicable)
- Immunisation Record (COVID-19, annual flu, and any other required vaccinations)
- Valid passport and Australian work rights
