St Michael’s Lutheran Early Learning Centre is a brand new small early childhood education and care service for 3 & 4 year olds, located in the beautiful township of Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills. Opening our doors for the first time, we are excited to build a warm, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

About the Role
As an Early Years Co-Educator, you will play a key role in establishing and shaping our new centre from the very beginning. Working collaboratively with the Nominated Supervisor and Teacher, you will help create nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environments that promote children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
We are seeking multiple co-educators who are enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to contribute to the establishment of a new service. These positions will commence Tuesday 7 April 2026, three weeks prior to the centre opening, for team collaboration and planning.
Key responsibilities include:
· Work collaboratively with the Teacher to plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences
· Create a safe, caring and inclusive environment that supports children’s wellbeing and development
· Actively engage with children, responding to their interests, needs and developmental stages
· Support daily routines (meals, rest, toileting and hygiene) with sensitivity and respect
· Maintain clean, well-organised and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments
· Model positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development
· Build respectful, professional relationships with children, families and colleagues
· Uphold child protection, child safety and safeguarding requirements
· Support children’s health and wellbeing, including administering first aid when required
· Experience in a Christian education environment, or an understanding of Christian values in education, is highly regarded
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or be actively working towards).

A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Experience working positively with young children and their families.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.
-
Current Child Safe Training (e.g. RHANN or Through Their Eyes).

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.

A valid Working With Children Check.

A flexible, proactive, and solution-focused approach.

A strong commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and inclusive practice.
