The Role

We're searching for a dedicated individual to join our team at our Bundaberg depot. As a multi-systems operator with Cleanaway, you'll play a crucial role in operating a variety of waste collection vehicles throughout the local region. Your responsibilities will include the safe and efficient operation collection vehicles to collect waste from a variety of locations.

You will be working with a safe, modern and reliable fleet. You will be required to operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with company regulations, complete all paperwork and records accurately.

Must be willing to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol test and Police Check.

As An HR Driver You Will Be Responsible For

Operating a collection vehiclePerforming loading and unloading duties of waste productDelivering loads to nominated disposals facilitiesEnsuring high levels of customer service and satisfactionMaintaining presentation of the vehicle, inside and outComfortable with a high level of manual handling and heights

What is in it for you?

As part of closing the gender gap of drivers in the waste management industry, Cleanaway is running this Driver Academy for Women to address substantive equality for all by removing some of the barriers preventing them from getting involved. Cleanaway is seeking an individual to participate in an intensive training program which includes licencing and other training required to set you up to be a HR licenced truck driver, followed by ongoing learning for the following 12 months.

Your Paid 5-week Training Program Will Include

Obtain Heavy Vehicle Licence Open (HR) ManualDangerous goods licence & EPA certification (where required)Uniforms and personal protective equipmentInternal training program to become a competent driver

To Be Part Of The Program

Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 monthsProvide a driving history check with a minimum of 8 demerit points remainingNo heavy vehicle driving experience requiredPassionate about working as a teamExcellent customer service ethicCommitment to safety and willingness to learn and work as part of a teamResilient attitude
