About the Role

As a casual Disability Support Worker, you’ll provide tailored support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and live independently. You’ll work a minimum of 15 hours per week, with opportunities for more based on availability and client needs.

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) / Cert IV in disability
• Current Blue and Yellow Cards
• Valid Driver’s Licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Willing to travel up to 30 - 45 minutes
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Experience supporting individuals with ASD Level 3, particularly non-verbal participants.
• Comfortable providing personal care support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to non-verbal individuals with ASD Level 3 in daily activities, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Implement individualised support plans and behaviour strategies.
• Use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools effectively.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with therapists, educators, and families to support holistic development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
