The Role

Reporting to the Manager Development

Assessment and based in Windsor NSW, the purpose of this position is to

efficiently and effectively process a wide range of development and associated

applications submitted to Council under the Environmental Planning and

Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993 and related legislation in

accordance with Council’s policies and procedures.

About You

You will have the ability to resolve issues through effective

mediation, negotiation and problem solving and have well developed written and

verbal communication skills. You will demonstrate a strong background and

commitment to quality customer service with a proven ability to positively

impact and contribute to a team environment and work collaboratively to reach

common outcomes.

Essential Criteria

Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related disciplineExtensive relevant experience in development assessment including complex and/or contentious developmentsComprehensive knowledge of the Environment Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and associated legislation and regulations as they relate to development assessmentProficient using computers and computer applicationsClass C Drivers LicenceWHS General Construction Work in NSWWorking with Children Check (WWCC)
