Sovereign Foods nurtures a nation-wide sustainable food network of Australian growers and eaters. We source Australian grown organic and chemical free food at a fair price and distribute it to people who want to support ethical food systems. Role Overview

As a Production/Warehouse Assistant at Sovereign Foods, you’ll handle daily packaged-goods production. You will work both independently and with a small team under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager.

Location

Shop 2, 8 Lucy Street MOOROOKA, Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials and packaging for production
• Set up and operate machinery to pack down production lines
• Use a variety of software systems to facilitate production
• Complete basic scheduled maintenance on equipment and identify and report faults
• Clean and sanitise production and warehouse areas on schedule
• Picking and packing orders for wholesale and retail customers to deadlines
• Receiving and organising inventory

• High attention to detail in a fast paced environment
• Good ICT skills and ability to learn new software
• Safety-first mindset including maintaining a tidy workspace
• Physically capable: regularly lift up to 25 kg, on your feet most of the day
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and meeting daily output targets
• Proactive problem-solver and communicates issues early
• Hygienic work habits and practices safe food handling skills (or willingness to learn)
• Forklift licence (or interest in attaining)

Employment status

Casual at commencement.

Hours to be determined with successful applicant, ideally available between 3-5 days per week.
