At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to work in our McGrath Cancer Nurse (MCCN) - Lung department at Wyong Hospital.

About The Opportunity

The MCCN provides care, information, and support for people with cancer across the continuity of care pathways and multidisciplinary teams across the cancer care community within the Health Service/demographic region.

The MCCN will provide collaborative clinical and supportive care for people and their families, along with the facilitation of communication across the multidisciplinary cancer care team.

The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse will have expert knowledge regarding the spectrum of cancer care, inclusive of health assessment, treatment pathways, referrals, and on-going facilitation of clinical and supportive cancer care.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.Experience of common treatment regimens for lung cancer and the physical, and psychological needs of patients with cancer.Experience providing specialised nursing advice and education for patients with a lung cancer diagnosis.Clinical expertise and clinical leadership, including the ability to impact practice change and service delivery changes in this area.
