Casual Open Crane Operator – General Hire

Tweed Crane Hire is seeking an experienced Casual Open Crane Operator to join our team in the general hire industry.

About the Role

This position involves operating a range of cranes across multiple sites, including general construction, infrastructure, and as required heavy industrial projects. Plenty of overtime is available for the right candidate.

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• Current Open Crane Operator Licence

• Proven experience operating Tadano slew cranes up to 80t

• Proven experience operating Frannas up to 25t

• Minimum HR truck Licence

• White Card/Blue Card

• Current Dogging and/or Rigging Licence

• Ability to work across general hire, heavy industrial projects.

• Strong understanding of safety systems, SWMS, and site procedures

• Willingness to complete site‑specific inductions

Additional Duties

• Assisting with dogging and rigging duties as required

• Delivering counterweights to and from job sites

• Supporting works on heavy industrial projects when required

• General yard and support tasks as needed

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previous heavy industrial experience
