Are you an energetic, people‑focused leader with a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences? Leura Gardens Resort is seeking a Director of Amusement to oversee our growing portfolio of leisure facilities—including the iconic Blue Mountains Ice‑Skating Rink.
This is a dynamic, hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, loves guest interaction, and can balance commercial strategy with exceptional operational execution.
About the Role
As the Director of Amusement, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all amusement and leisure offerings within the resort. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping guest experiences, driving revenue, and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of all facilities.
You will lead a passionate Leisure Team, champion safety and service excellence, and ensure every amusement area operates to the highest Accor and resort standards. From school holiday programs to rink operations, social media support, and team development—you’ll be at the heart of it all.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and develop the Leisure Team to consistently deliver exceptional guest service and meet business KPIs.

Provide strategic and operational oversight of all amusement facilities, including direct responsibility for the Blue Mountains Ice‑Skating Rink.

Maintain strong on‑floor presence to support, coach and guide team members.

Design and manage the resort’s School Holiday Program, ensuring all activities are safe, engaging and commercially aligned.

Oversee guest engagement, service delivery, ticketing, bookings, and overall facility presentation.

Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve satisfaction and experiences.

Support social media and publicity initiatives in collaboration with Marketing.

Participate in daily management briefings and lead regular team meetings.

Work closely with the Executive Assistant Manager, Talent & Culture, and key operational leaders.
About You

Strong leadership experience in leisure, attractions, tourism, hospitality or similar guest‑focused environments.

Confidence managing budgets, KPIs and operational strategies.

A proactive approach to safety, guest service and operational excellence.

Availability to work across a rotating roster including weekends, school holidays and peak periods.
