About the Role

The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the finance function by managing daily transaction processing, reconciliations and cash flow reporting, while assisting with month-end close, audits, and process improvements. It ensures accurate financial operations and provides key support to other members of the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic
Follow company policies, deliver work promptly, meet performance expectations, and participate in training to support ACL’s overall goals.

Relationships
Build respectful relationships and communicate clearly with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.

Operating Systems / IT
Develop strong working knowledge of ACL’s IT policies, systems, and platforms to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

Technical
Understand and apply ACL policies, interpreting information effectively to make sound decisions and achieve departmental outcomes.

Administrative
Maintain accurate records, manage daily work efficiently, and provide administrative support across the business as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Attention to detail with accurate processing.

  • Problem-solving ability to resolve issues quickly.

  • Strong time management and ability to multitask effectively.

  • Adaptability in a fast-moving, changing environment.

  • Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills.

  • High integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

  • Finance or accounting experience, ideally in AP/AR or cash receipting.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred.

  • Relevant qualifications, such as a BCom (Accounting) or equivalent (not essential).
