The Role

 Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Claims Officer is a pivotal role in meeting our contractual compliance requirements. Yilabara has adopted a centralised claims unit ensuring we maintain a high level of integrity and compliance in our administration of claims. The Claims Officer provides administrative review of all Employment and Related Outcome claims and Employment Fund expenditure across Yilabara Employment Services related contracts. The role will require a high level of communication and engagement with our Employment Services and Remote Australia Employment Service teams, members of the Quality Assurance team, and other Yilabara Leadership personnel as required. The role operates across a fast-paced environment, a high-performance environment and highly regulated contractual environment. 

 Responsibilities include

  •  Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Yilabara Employment Service Delivery Model (Workforce Australia, Inclusive Employment Australia, Parents Pathway and Remote Australia Employment Services)

  • Administrative review of all contractual outcome claims and Employment Fund expenditure across Yilabara Employment and Related Contracts  

  • Ensuring accurate processes are in place for Yilabara team members to maintain accurate records and documentary evidence for claims. 

  • Efficient processing of all claims including Special Claims and override requests

  • Review and assess all wage subsidy claims ensuring documentary evidence meets contractual compliance  

  • Liaise closely with Employment Services and Aboriginal Community Project team to proactively monitor the status of all Post Placement claims   

  • Ensuring all employment outcomes and employment fund claims have accurate supporting documentary evidence and are efficiently claimed within required timeframes 

  • Develop a comprehensive record management process  

  • Working with Yilabara Quality Management and leadership team on all claim audit requirements  

 Essential Criteria 

 Qualifications  

Relevant qualification in business related discipline such as Management, Quality Management or similar 

 Skills & Experience 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in employment services 

  • Experience in employment services claims and employment fund expenditure

  • Thorough understanding of documentary evidence guidelines  

  • Advance attention to detail skills  

  • Advance reporting and administrative skills  

  • A “Can Do” attitude with the ability to motivate and encourage others  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills particularly in negotiation and rapport development 

  • Commitment to principles underpinning the values of excellence, best practice, and cultural engagement 

  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia

  • Working with Children Check and National Police Check
