CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST - ALL ROUNDER // ALL ASPECTS OF CIVIL WORK IN ABOVE GROUND MINING SITE BASED AT APPIN, NSW. REGULAR OVERTIME HOURS, APPROXIMATELY 15HRS PER WEEK AT TIME & A HALF AND DOUBLE TIME RATES.

We are a very passionate, small Civil Contracting Company that takes pride in every aspect & detail of our work, based near Appin, NSW at a diverse above ground mining environment. Our core business includes the responsibility of all above ground civil work needs, civil project management, plant operation, water management amongst other varying tasks.

There is not a typical day in this role, every day is different and tasks you can expect to complete include:

• Civil project management.

• Plant operation - Excavator, Long Reach Excavator, Skid Steer, Compact Track Loader, Backhoe, Dump Truck , Heavy Vehicle, Telehandler, Dozer + various attachments

• Water management.

• Environmental compliance. 

• Diverse civil tasks including take 5 analysis, toolbox talks and various WH&S mandatory paperwork.

• Truck Driving transporting material 

• Drainage, stormwater installation, trenching, battering & final trim.

• Physical tasks on a daily basis; shovelling; lifting etc (Please do not apply if you can not meet this criteria)

We are looking to fufill several full time roles, with enthusiastic and engaged candidates to join our small team. To be successful in the role you will need to be:

• Hard working.

• Attention to detail.

• Pride in machine maintenance & care taking.

• Use initiative, be proactive and be willing to learn. 

• Hold your driver’s license and be willing to work flexible hours. HC Heavy Vehicle license is ideal.

• Previous plant operation experienece. 

• Ideally have previous mechanical experience; and/or fencing experience; farming experience; plumbing and civil experience (Not Mandatory)

• Previous Civil Project Management Experience 

• Must hold VOC backhoe/excavator/skid steer ticket. Candidates need to be able to work in a team environment and also unsupervised.

5 weeks annual leave per year + personal leave

Daily ‘home to workplace’ transport available depending on living address, saving significant money on weekly fuel/car costs. 

• Approx 40-50 hours per week// Various rosters available // Monday to Friday - 6am to 4pm // Sunday (6am to midday at DT) to Thursday (6am to 4pm)

• 35 hours @ base rate // Regular overtime hours occur weekly for the right candidate. Approximately 15 hrs per week at Time & a Half and Double Time rates.
